Topics included data ownership, centralization versus individual solutions, public-private cooperation, and the shift from risk-averse to benefit-driven use of health data.
Dr. Bebeka Cosandey (Lead Scientific Program Manager for Clinnova, Basel) contributed as a speaker and panelist, sharing insights on Clinnova’s federated, cross-border data ecosystem. The presentation demonstrated how secure, interoperable, and actionable patient data can empower clinicians and researchers, drive innovation, and support evidence-based decision-making.
The workshop featured examples from Sheba Medical Center, University Hospital Basel, and solutions from SPHN, ML Commons, Clever Identity, and MDClone ADAMS, emphasizing the importance of coordination, trust, and clear value creation for advancing the health data ecosystem.
